Project scope was for the design and installation of an underground 30,000 gallon propane tank/bulk plant. R.H. White, in conjunction with Cornerstone Energy, designed the propane energy facility to provide the energy requirements specified by the Owner, and provided the Fire Safety Analysis to meet regulatory requirements.
R.H. White provided the following procurement and installation construction services; site work, underground tank, vaporizer, component, all mechanical gas piping, valves & regulators, approx. 500 feet of underground HDPE gas service line, metering components & containment, pipe supports, curbing, paving, fencing, pipe painting, and purge and pressure test the system into service.
Project challenges included an extremely aggressive schedule, long lead procurement schedule planning, winter weather conditions, and complex regulatory requirements.
In addition, during delivery of the underground storage tank, and subsequent lifting and setting, R.H. White provided complex schedule coordination due to helicopter traffic into the hospital.
The entire electrical scope was handled by the Owner, for which R.H. White coordinated and furnished underground trenching and final tie in a I/O Checkout with the electrical subcontractor.
