Thomas Descoteaux, Senior Vice President of the R.H. White Companies, received the 2017 Kenneth O. Hodgson Distinguished Service Award by the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA), the region’s largest and oldest not-for-profit organization of water works professionals.
The Kenneth O. Hodgson Distinguished Service Award provides recognition for outstanding service to NEWWA and the waterworks industry by a member from the service, manufacturing, or contracting area. The award recognizes a member from the service community who has provided exemplary service and dedication to furthering the ideals of the association.
Descoteaux currently serves on the board of directors of the Merit Construction Alliance. He is a past president of the Utility Contractor Association of New England and past chairman of Associated Builder and Contractors, Inc. He served as chair of the NEWWA Facilities Committee for five years and remains a committee member. He has been a member of NEWWA and the American Water Works Association since 2002.
A resident of Douglas, MA, he earned a B.S. in civil engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Nichols College.
