Corporate Cafeteria Construction Projects Receives ABC Eagle Award
R.H. White Construction received an Excellence in Construction Award (EICA) for a corporate cafeteria project from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Massachusetts. The project, which was completed for an industrial client on the North Shore, received the Eagle Award, in the general contractor renovation category – the highest level of recognition that the ABC bestows in the competition.

R.H. White Honored with Sustainability Award from Associated Industries of Massachusetts

R.H. White was honored as one of five businesses that received the 2020 Sustainability Award from the Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM), the largest non-profit, nonpartisan association of employers in the state. The award recognizes excellence in environmental stewardship, promotion of social well-being and contributions to economic prosperity.

Associated Builders of Massachusetts Awards R.H. White Another Step Award

R.H. White was pleased to win its consecutive STEP – Safety Training Evaluation Process – award from the Association of Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Massachusetts and the Gould Construction Institute (GCI). S.T.E.P. The company garnered the Gold Award for 2020. Awards are presented annually to ABC member companies with exceptional safety records and this year’s applicant pool was very competitive, with more than 60 companies recognized for their outstanding commitment to jobsite safety. Applicants are evaluated on many statistical factors such as incident rates, lost time, and OSHA recordables. The company has won three Silver Achievement Awards and three Platinum Achievement Awards and five Gold Achievement Awards.

R.H. White Subsidiary, Whitewater, Inc., Wins Utility Service Award

R.H. White’s water management subsidiary, WhiteWater, was named the 2019 Utility Service Awardee by the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA), the region’s largest and oldest not-for-profit organization of water works professionals.

R.H. White Receives 2019 Gold Level Step Award for Safety

Participating in the STEP – Safety Training Evaluation Process – program in 2009, R.H. White Construction has added another award to its Wall of Safety Awards. It was presented with the Gold Level Award. Worker safety is a core value of R.H. White which is entwined in all our processes as we want every employee to go home at the end of each shift in the same condition, they arrived at the beginning of the workday.

R.H. White Receives the ABC2018 Platinum Level Step Award

R.H. White Construction began participating in the STEP program in 2009. This year we were presented the Platinum Level Award. We have previously won over the past eight years three Gold Achievement Awards, four Silver Achievement Awards and two Platinum Achievement Awards. STEP is the Safety Training Evaluation Process that Associated Builders Contractors (ABC) uses to measure a company’s safety program progress, identify ways to improve it and to benchmark our performance.

R.H. White Awarded the 2014 Employer of Choice Awars from the Employers Association of the Northeast

R.H. White Construction received the Employer of Choice Award for demonstrating a culture of transforming and rewarding our employee’s overall performances. Meredith Wise, EANE President, said “R.H. White has succeeded in creating an amazing workplace culture which maximizes employee engagement, creativity and organizational success. They are truly connected to their communities; contributing financially as well as with staff time and talent to various charities and events.” We were also recognized for our 90th anniversary donation of $156,000 to three local charities and for providing over $700,000 in safety related training to our employees annually.

R.H. White Wins 2013 Massachusetts Family Business of the Year Award at Northeastern University

Winners of the 2013 Massachusetts Family Business of the Year Award program were recently announced by the Northeastern University Center for Family Business at a celebration event at the Henderson House, Weston, MA. R.H. White Companies of Auburn received the award in the large business category.

The Northeastern University Center for Family Business annually presents family businesses, based on size, with recognition as Massachusetts Family Business of the Year Awards. Recipients of the Massachusetts Family Business of the Year Awards are selected by a panel of independent judges based on the following criteria: business success, positive business and family linkages, multi-generational family involvement, contributions to the community and industry, and innovative business practices or strategies.

Southbridge Water Receives 2012 Pubic Water System Award from DEP

WhiteWater, Inc., operator of the Town of Southbridge’s Water Department, recently received one of 10 awards from the State Department of Environmental Protection for running a clean water system, which includes having an entire year without a total coliform hit or a missed water sample during calendar year 2011.

Leonard White Receives First Ever NEWWA Lifetime Achievement Award 2011

Leonard White was the recipient of the 2011 NEWWA (New England Water Works Association) Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognized Leonard for his years of service and dedication to NEWWA and its members.

Jeremiah Murphy Receives 2011 NEWEA Operator of the Year Award

WhiteWater, Inc. employee Jeremiah Murphy was awarded the 2011 NEWEA (New England Water Environment Association) Operator of the Year Award. This award is given annually by NEWEA to recognize an individual who has shown a high level of interest and performance in wastewater operations and who has made significant contributions to the wastewater field.

Community Excellence Awards are given by the Rental Housing Association to apartment communities that exceed expectations for apartment living.

Presented to Cordis Mills
R.H. White received this award in recognition of the generosity, service, and assistance it provided to the Worcester County Food Bank.
